T’was the night before Christmas and many were anticipating the birth of The Saviour, some believed a lie, and some didn’t care.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Stop and imagine for a moment what the day before Jesus’ birth was like. Can you imagine the excitement of Mary and Joseph? Can you imagine the joy of Zacharias and Elizabeth? Can you imagine the anticipation of The Wise Men? Many were expecting the Saviour to come but how many were prepared for His arrival? How many were looking for Him? How many were looking for Him to come as a babe wrapped in a manger?
Such as it is on this Christmas Eve. Many say they are looking for Jesus to return but they are looking in the wrong places. Their eyes have gone astray looking to false gods of this world leading them straight to Hell.
