Compromise

WHO CARES WHAT THE WORLD THINKS?

It is better to incur the world's hatred by testifying against its wickedness than gain its goodwill by going down the stream with it. -Henry

Matthew 5:10, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

When you take a stand for the Lord; you will always have critics. They will come out from every rock you can imagine. The thing about it is, when you take your stand, they normally crawl right back under that rock. They do this because they can’t stand the Light of the Truth of the Gospel.

Child of God, continue standing for the Lord. Let His Light shine! Who really cares what this old world thinks about us? As long as the Lord is pleased, nothing else should matter!

KEEPING FAITHFUL

Compromise leads to Corruption

2 Timothy 4:7-8, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

In Paul’s second letter to Timothy he gave Timothy some instructions about Christian Living, about the Ministry, and life to come. In these two verse Paul is sharing with Timothy the importance in remaining faithful to the call God gave him. To fight the good fight, to finish well, and to keep the faith.

Many have compromised in this life, losing their witness in this world. Paul did not waver and his witness continues today! How about you friend? What are you compromising in that will lead to your corruption and eventually your crumbling? Get rid of it, fight the good fight, finish well, keep the faith, and live for Jesus!

HOW MUCH WILL YOU COMPROMISE BEFORE YOU LOSE YOUR IDENTITY?

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4

It doesn’t take long to realize there is compromise in the church house. But how much of that compromise will you and I allow before we say enough is enough and do something about it? How much compromise will go on before you approach your Pastor and have an honest conversation with him? What will it take to get you involved with church events? Will you turn a deaf ear in order to fit in? Will you look the other way so you can feel good about yourself?

Child of God, take a stand and stand therefore! When you take a stand for the Lord, He will bless you and take care of you! If you compromise no one will recognize what and or who you have become!

Stand Up or Sit Down

Compromise in the Pulpit leads to Compromise in the Pew.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15

There are many Biblical Leaders that show what it means to stand on the Word of God. I believe if there is compromise in the Pulpit on the Word of God then it will not be long before the Pew will be compromising not just in this area but in areas of modesty, music, morality, and money. Brethren, these things ought not be so!

In other words let me put it this way, I believe if the Pastors, Evangelist, and the Missionaries in the Pulpit compromise on the King James Bible, then it will not be long before they see in the pew; Modesty mixing with the world’s mixed messages, Music that feeds the flesh instead of exalting the Saviour, Morals thrown out the door for the sake of fitting in, and Money the Lord asked for being used for material gain.

We in the Pulpit must decide whether we are for the Lord or for building big churches with our name on the outside. We must STAND UP FOR THE LORD OR JUST SIT DOWN before we lead someone away from holy living or worse lead them to hell.

Consider these verses:

Elijah when he proclaimed, “…How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21

The Lord Himself said in Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

IN THIS WORLD OF INCLUSIVENESS...THERE WILL ALWAYS BE COMPROMISE.

Loyalty that will do anything, that will endure anything, that will make the whole being consecrate to Him, is what Christ wants.  Anything else is not worthy of Him. --Burdett Hart

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8

What are you willing to compromise in order to be included? God's Word? God's Ways? God's Work?

Not everything you hear is from God's Word. So not everything you see is done God's Way. Then by default not everything that's done is God's Work.

Before you get involved in or do something make sure it's of God or you may be working for the enemy!

Contented or A Compromiser?

You say, "If I had a little more, I should be very satisfied."  You make a mistake.  If you are not content with what you have, you would not be satisfied if it were doubled. -Spurgeon

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Philippians 4:11

What is it you want out of life? What goals have you set for yourself? It’s nothing wrong with having ambition or having set life goals for yourself in order to better your life. However, when that ambition turns into the only thing you live for—compromise stands at the door!

What are you willing to sacrifice in order to get that promotion? What will you change in your walk with the Lord in order to make a few more bucks? Missing a Sunday service? Allowing your children to go to an inappropriate movie? What you listen to on the radio? Your stance on the abstinence of alcohol and other drugs?

Child of God, be content with what God has given and you will not compromise His Word, His Work, or His Way! 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
